Project Write up

Objective:
Design a short elearning module to help elementary level kids learn Norwegian family vocabulary.

Audience:
This was a conceptual project based on my own interest in language learning and my experience teaching english abroad.

Tools & Approach:
Used Adobe Captivate and Canva to create the materials. Followed predominantly SAM methodology to guide the process from ideation through development.

Deliverables:
Created outline, assets, assessment and the elearning module presented here.

Reflection:
Using a mini course to have a smaller vocabulary focus is helpful for learners in the beginning stages. Having a variety of interactive components is especially helpful for younger learners who may need additional help staying engaged with text based content.

Things I would do differently in the future include having more easily accessible reference materials for learners to use as scaffolding as they are going through the course, and I would want to include audio elements in the future as well.
